Meet Steph
Hi, I am Steph (she/her), and I practice holistically and comprehensively. I work within a recovery-orientated, weight-inclusive, and trauma-informed framework.
I advocate for inclusive and equal healthcare for all people. I am most passionate about working within the treatment and management of eating disorders and neurodiverse-affirming care.
My Credentials
I am an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) member of Dietitian’s Australia. I am also recognised as an ANZAED credentialed eating disorder clinician (CEDC).
I am a certified therapist in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders CBT-E) and the Maudsley Family-Based Treatment (FBT) method. I have trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I integrate the techniques and principles from these therapeutic modalities into my dietetic practice.
Outside of my role at Tidal Health Clinic, I work as a care coordinator for community mental health services.
I attended the University of Newcastle and obtained a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours).
In my time away from work, I enjoy trying to keep my house plants alive, indulging in soy cappuccinos and diving into novels. I am dog mum to a delightful, though occasionally chaotic, Golden Retriever named Blue. Together, we enjoy jogging, being by the water and binge-watching Netflix.
If you wish to connect with me, I am available for face-to-face consultations at Tidal Health Clinic in Cooks Hill and via telehealth.
“Healing is not linear; it ebbs and flows like the tide. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable, and validating space for my clients, building therapeutic relationships, and helping individuals and families navigate the physical and psychological barriers that can present during the recovery process.”
